Paediatric Nephrology Unit | Teaching Hospital Peradeniya, Sri Lanka
I graduated from medical faculty with a deep sense of focus on treating patients from rural and under-resourced communities in Sri Lanka. I am currently working as a Senior Registrar in Paediatrics while continuing to build my clinical, academic, and leadership capabilities.
Over the past several years, I have cared for children in general paediatrics, paediatric intensive care, neonatology, nephrology, endocrinology, neurology, and rheumatology settings. Many of the illnesses I have encountered were preventable or could have been managed earlier with better awareness and access to healthcare.
These experiences have strengthened my commitment to high-quality, compassionate paediatric care and to further training that will allow me to contribute meaningfully to child health services, education, and research.
